Leader's Bookshelf: Permission to Screw Up by Kristen Hadeed

If you are looking for solid advice that comes from real-world experiences, this is a great resource. I went audio on this one and am glad I did – it was great to go on the journey with the author in her own voice. You don’t often read a book about a successful entrepreneur that starts with a pair of jeans, but here it is! Kristen gives us all insight into not only her journey – in a very open and honest way – but helps us better understand her generation from multiple perspectives.

What I really liked about Kristen’s story is that it isn’t neat and tidy, but better represents the true experience most entrepreneurs have. Mistakes happen and sometimes they’re small and manageable and occasionally even catastrophic, but Kristen shares her experiences in a way that is accessible and relatable. You’ll cringe and celebrate alongside her as she tells her story.

I won’t spoil any of the good stuff she presents, but this is definitely worth the time. An entertaining story that also inspires – you can’t beat that!
