Delegation

Delegation.

Here’s a simple test for whether you’re delegating or just assigning.

When you hand something off, do you set the what, when, and why — and let them figure out the how? Or do you hand them the answer and call it delegation?

Real delegation means letting someone struggle with something you could handle in fifteen minutes. That feels inefficient. It’s not. It’s where their growth happens. And yours.

If they do it at seventy percent of the level you would have done it, that’s a win. Because they’ll get better. And you just got time back for work that actually belongs at your altitude.

That math compounds faster than you think.

Set the what. Let them own the how.
