When you get grateful for what you have right now, you will find that you soon have more to be grateful for. What’s true, is that when you send out those feelings of gratitude you become happy in this moment, right now. When you’re grateful and happy for your life as it is today, so many more things will come into your life to be happy and grateful for.
The reverse is also true. If you feel that there is nothing to be grateful for, what are you focused on? You’re focused on everything you don’t want. You’re focused on everything you don’t have and what you are focused on, you will attract into your experience. More of what you don’t what.
Make it your practice every day to be grateful! Be grateful for the things you have that others may not. Get grateful for the sight that you have which allows you to read this – many aren’t so lucky. Get grateful for the health you do hvae - many are in much worse situations. Get grateful for the people in your life who have made a difference. Get grateful for the challenging times in your life because they helped to make you stronger. Get grateful for your life. You will find that there is so much to be grateful for.
There is something to be said about appreciating what you have and being grateful. Whether you’re thanking God or Life or just saying Thank You. There is something very real and powerful about moments when you can be alone and look at your life – and just say thank you. Thank you for this gift of my life, thank you for this journey that I’m on and thank you for everything that has made me who I am today.
Most people go through their life without experiencing the profound beauty of these moments. Your life may be difficult at times, but it is still an experience worth being grateful for. There are people who would give anything for just a few more moments to experience life.
As you read this, there are people who are taking their last breath on this planet. Looking back on their lives and wishing that they could have done more. That they could have had more time. We have that opportunity right now and if we can’t be appreciative and grateful for that, there is an entire spectrum of living we are missing out on.
Start right now. Start creating those moments of gratitude in your life. Be appreciative just for being alive. That alone will change your life.
