Not a Different Person

I’ve worked with enough leaders to know what growth actually looks like.
It doesn’t look like transformation.
It doesn’t look like someone new walking out of the room.
A CFO I worked with came back for a check-in eight months after we finished.
I asked him what had changed.
He thought about it.
“I’m still me,” he said. “I just don’t react the same way anymore.”
Not a new person.
The same person, with fewer places the old patterns could hide.
That’s what real growth looks like.
Not a reinvention. A reduction.
The noise goes down. The signal gets clearer.
What would it look like for you to be the same person,
but with fewer blind spots?
