Something Is Coming

I’ve spent thirty years in executive leadership. Sat in most of the rooms my clients sit in now.
Then I spent the next seven years sitting across from 750 leaders who were trying to figure out the same things I spent thirty years figuring out.
Same twelve patterns. Every time. Different companies, different industries, different titles. Same patterns.
The director who got promoted past their expertise and can’t stop doing the old job. The VP who avoids hard conversations until the problem becomes a crisis. The senior leader who’s burning out and calling it dedication. The high performer who’s invisible to everyone except the people who hand out assignments.
Six thousand hours of coaching. And at some point I stopped being surprised by the patterns and started writing them down.
That’s what the last twenty weeks have been — not content. Not frameworks for the sake of frameworks. It’s been the distillation of everything I’ve learned, across thirty-seven years, about what actually works and what nobody tells you.
Something is coming in June.
If any of these ideas have landed — if any of these frameworks put language to something you already knew — what’s coming is going to be worth paying attention to.
Stay close.
What’s the one idea from the last twenty weeks that’s stayed with you longest?
