The Ask You Should Have Let Fail

Somewhere in the last quarter there was one ask the Miracle Worker should have let fail. Not the client-facing one. The internal one, the request that only existed because the team upstream knew she would catch it. If she had let that one drop, visibly, with a note that said here is what happened and here is why, the process would have been fixed in a week. Instead she caught it, and the catch became the process. There is a version of letting something fail that is negligence, and there is a version that is the only honest signal a system will ever get. The Miracle Worker cannot tell them apart, and that is the whole problem.
Tomorrow: the Miracle Worker from another angle.
