Who Rises When You Let Go

Every task you hand off is room for someone else to grow.

We tend to think about delegation as subtraction, one more thing off the plate. Look at it from the other side. For the person receiving it, it may be the first time someone trusted them with that work. That moment matters more than most leaders remember.

The hard part is not the handoff. It is what comes after, when they do it differently than you would have and every instinct says to step back in. Do not. The difference is where they learn, and it is often where they surprise you.

The people on your team are not waiting for more instructions. They are waiting for room.

Let go of one thing this week. Then watch who rises to meet it.
