Rest isn't the reward for finishing.

It's what makes finishing possible.


We've been taught that rest is earned — something we get after the work is done. But the work is never done. And running on empty doesn't make you more productive; it just makes you less effective and harder to be around. The best leaders I know protect their rest fiercely. Not because they're lazy, but because they understand that sustainable performance requires recovery.
