Finding the Opening

Every reorg creates white space.

Roles that weren’t clearly defined. Problems without owners. Decisions nobody has clear accountability for.

Most leaders use that period to hunker down. Protect what’s theirs. Wait for clarity.

The leaders who come out stronger? They used the white space differently. They looked for the unowned problem. The gap nobody was filling. The thing that needed doing.

Before the structure settles, ask: what problem has no clear owner right now? Where’s the white space — and am I in a position to step into it?

The dust always settles. The question is whether you used the disruption or just survived it.

What opening have you noticed?
