Heavy Isn’t the Same as Long

A heavy week is not always a long one.

Some of the most exhausting weeks I have watched leaders get through were not long at all. They were full of switching, waiting, and bracing for conversations that never came. 40 hours that felt like 70.

When you only measure the feeling, every heavy week looks like a time problem. And the fix most of us reach for is more time, which is the one thing that makes it worse.

So count the hours, truthfully. Then look at what made the days heavy. It is usually 2 or 3 things, not everything. And 2 or 3 things can change.

You are probably stronger than the week made you feel. The weight was real. It just was not all yours to carry.

Count the hours. Then carry only what is real.
