Look at the timestamps on the Miracle Worker’s sent mail. 1:40 a.m. 2:15. Sunday, 6:05. She reads them as proof of commitment. The organization reads them as a schedule. Every one of those timestamps teaches the system the same lesson: the deadline was never real, because someone will absorb it. The vendor learns it. The client learns it. Her own boss learns it, which is why the next impossible ask arrives with less notice than the last one. She thinks she is covering for a broken process. She is the reason nobody has to fix it.
