Here is the part nobody says at the all-hands. The Miracle Worker does not get promoted. Not because the work is not seen. Because it is. Everyone above her knows exactly what happens if she leaves that seat: the saves stop. So she stays, with a bigger title every couple of years and the same job. Irreplaceable is not a career. It is a cage with good reviews. The leaders who move up are the ones whose teams stopped needing them in the room, and the Miracle Worker made sure hers never could.
Friday: a new leader in the neighborhood.
