Understanding.

This week we’ve explored listening, attention, curiosity, and silence.

They all lead here: understanding.

Understanding is what happens when you truly listen. Not just to words, but to meaning.

Not just to respond, but to see the pattern.

What surprises most leaders I work with isn’t the insight I offer. It’s that I heard something no one else had — because I was listening for what was underneath the words, not just what was in them.

When people feel understood, everything changes. Trust deepens. Walls come down. Real collaboration becomes possible.

Understanding isn’t agreement. You can understand someone completely and still disagree. But you can’t lead effectively without it.

Who in your life needs to feel more understood?

Have a great weekend.
