Curiosity

When we’re in an emotional reaction, we’re not doing analysis. We’re doing prosecution. Building a case, not seeking understanding.
Prosecution feels productive. Collecting evidence. Connecting dots. It feels thorough. But it’s confirmation bias with a suit on.
The antidote is curiosity. Not forced optimism. Genuine curiosity about what’s actually happening before you decide you already know.
This week: the stories we build from incomplete data. The three-column test. The power of “what changed?” The lenses we don’t realize are distorted.
One more: if someone were building a story about you — watching your behavior, interpreting your intent without asking — they’d get it wrong too.
That’s not a reason to distrust your instincts. It’s a reason to verify them.
What would they get wrong about you?
Have a great weekend.
